Some.
I’m a queer, autistic person belonging to a non-Christian religion. I see a psychiatrist every couple months for depression and anxiety and I take my medication daily. [Disclaimer: This has absolutely nothing to do with being otherkin. It would be accurate enough…
“Crazy” is a word I have applied to myself in the past - I’ve been depressed, and relapse occasionally. I don’t think that it’s inherently a bad word, but I do think that there are lots of assumptions that often go along with it. For example, there is an expectation that if you aren’t mentally healthy, you have a moral duty to let the people around you know. That can be hard to get past, and I want to say that I have solidarity with everyone who is depressed or anxious and doesn’t choose to disclose that.
